When did this discount come in

I renewed my insurance with HIC last week, they asked if i'm a member of any club, and i said CS, but she had no recollection of this club

Well paying 246 i would love to get a further discount

Phil at HIC did this to me...
Its Quoted from a post a put a while back in Premium Lounge...

"Someone at HIC (i think it was one of the two people above) tried to do a fast one on my insurance....

Told him ALL my details and that i wanted cover fully comp, he gave me a mad quote of £490 fully comp all mods declaired and gave me his PERSONAL direct number and said get back to him if I wanted to accept...

I lost his number but tried to get hold of him through the main HIC number, he wasnt working that day but someone else bought my details up and read them out quickly before I gave my credit card details...

He'd put me down as being 3 years older - 24 when im 21
That I was married when im not
That I only drove a max of 5k a year when I asked for unlimited
That I had MAX no-claims when I have 3years
And above all that my car was standard!!

When the new bloke I spoke to put the correct details through it more than doubled the premium Are these guys on commision or what?"

Bit of a scam or what?

can HIC offer an insured value of the car above market value - as adrian flux can - Im changing from liverpool victoria at the end of the month cause If i smashed up or lost the car - the max Id get is about £900, but an independant valuer for CIS said that its easily insurable as £5000 payout or more - so need to insure its value and not the car really

can they do this
