Right we all know someone who thinks a lot of there cars / mods.
Share your experiences of weird mates who think neon washer jets are cool and they can get a RS Turbo for £500 insurance when they are 17.
I had a couple of mates a few months back who thought sticking a K+N on a car would add 10bhp and a normal sport backbox 5bhp.
Also had someone start on me because I said his neon washers and cosworth mudflaps looked shite on a normal Escort.
And a few not knowing what a spark plug is or what happerns when you KEEP hitting the limiter 'cuz it soundz bad'

i once had a lad tell me his gfs step dad was sellin an escort cosworth for £100 kus it had been smacked up the arse
he said it was a "real" one kus of the interior. i was a bit dubious so out or curiosity went round to have a look
sat on the drive was an escort RS TURBO   lol:
anyway i was chattin with him and i happened to mention that i knew someone with a fiesta that would be interested in the engine and when he came out with the following statement i really had to pick myself up off the floor
"there is no way in this world u will fit a turbo engine into a fiesta the engine mounts where they bolt to the conrod are different. its like sayin u want to put a 1.8 in a 1.3 mondeo"
the conversation ended with him tellin me i knew nothin about cars
needless to say he drove a saxo

Some people I know r like that it wrecks my head, sum lad getting on the train the other day was saying to some girl (both 17ish) 'yeah wen u do the bodykit u may aswell do the engine n that cos' the insurance goes up with bodykit, so u may aswell get the most out of it' I was fcuking nearly falling over laughing
What does 'do the engine' mean aswell little farts

one of the fella's in our houseshare bought a corolla GTi for 150 then thought 1800 TPFT insurance was a good deal!

I know a guy who is convinced he has a 200bhp XR3i, I told him that it really wasnt, not without some very serious engine mods, and he got all arsey with me saying how he has beaten loads of RSTs, R5s, etc etc.
*pops engine bay and all I see is lots of dirt, oil, oh and a shiny air filter*
watched him race a Focus ST170 and he lost, yet he still fcuking claims its 200bhp

i knew someone who fitted a k&n to their car, 3 months later he was telling us how amazing it was and it made it 10 times faster..i heard him rev it one day and it didnt sound right, told him to pop the bonnet...no air filter to be seen...it had fallen off

When I had my RST I was getting new tyres fitted one day when some monkey in a 1.6 orion turns up (presumably for tyres) and proceeded to tell me that his orion was just as quick as my RS Turbo, just ford never told anyone. What a loser. Never did get the chance to blow him into the weeds either.

i know a bloke with a scooby legacy estate, the twin turbo jobbie, and he reckons its near dead 4 seconds to 60............. oh and it beats evos p1's tunned cossies, you name it. we all just nod and agree whenever he says anything about his car

Ive got a mate with a 5 door 306 and he is getting 16's for it and a wide arch kit, i was like well get 19's then if your havin a wide arch kit, needless to say neither will happen!!!
Ive always got mates saying there gunna do stuff n not end up doing it!! I just save talkin bout it till it's actually done!!!
