lol - calling me a prick/knob. I was the one that was sure it wasn't! It was my bloody economics teacher. Think he was a bit pissed off by my abuse on his car. We were doing some economics question of car industry, and he asked something about what attracts people to buy cars or something. I go well some people just by 10 year old Rovers tarted up and rebranded as MG's. Hes got a MG ZR, wasnt to happy i dont think!

Whats the tourqe fiugures for the 105bhp jobbie?
A mate of mine raced one on the motorway back from southend in his 1400 sport and it did not impress me in the slightest, expected the guy to at least pull away a little but he could not
Also been in a VTR which came up against one at a set of traffic lights on the A127 and it was dead even, both shifting gears at exactly the same time all the way up to 60mph/ish
must be pretty heavy motors or something

oh and theres loads of 1.4 corsa owners on here that have 105bhp (+ more) at the flywheel, they just aint standard

Its prob a case of the driver wasnt up to the job, I have done many miiles in my mates ZR105 and the book figure of 10sec to 60 is a pile of shite, they dont have to change into 3rd to hit 60, as std they piss allover corsas when it comes to handling and the lil K-seris engines love to be reved. My mate dosnt understand thats how these cars are supposed to be driven and never drives it in the higher rev range so as a result he gets beaten by 1.4 16v Corsas, however when I raced a 1.4 16v off the lights in his car last week along a dual carrigeway I was ahead in every gear and pulling away in every gear. Plus he got a better start and I bogged down a bit. Need to feed the clutch out at 5500rpm in ZR's to get a quick start without spin.
Im sure there are many 1.4 16v corsas out there that would piss allover my mates ZR but outta the box the ZR is def faster.
