on a 1.4 u probably wont notice much difference if any!! if u do get a de-cat pipe make sure u can put the cat back on fairly easy for MOT time!!

You have to cut it if you replace the system or cat as it's only one piece from the factory.
You should gain 3bhp.

I am a pipe welder so I have got the facilities to make my own.
I made two flanges one to come off the manifold and one to connect to the mid box pipe and welded a inch and a quarter pipe to it hey presto 1 custom made pipe. oh and bent pipe to suite.

i have a decat pipe on my 1.6 sport, a powerflow one with full powerflow system after the cat,

they welded some flanges onto my cat after cutting it out, i can put that back in easy enough for mot,

i think it invalidates your insurance driving without one??? anyone else know for sure??

my car sounds crap with the cat in, much better without also it certainly seems to rev a little better, not much noticable change in power but it picks up a bit faster

I have a magnex decat on my 1.6 sport.
revs better
sounds better
and a tad more power.

Nah don't think it will invalidate insurance..they will never check that.
Never even put it back on for mot.....but I know a man...........

passed emissions last year without cat...but failed this year..
