I drove the 1.8 Sxi Astra and it was quite nice i have to say, it was fairly nippy but not FAST, it has a nice amount of torque tho and didnt have to be worked hard like the 1.2 Sxi

yeh I have the need- the need for speed these days, but insurance quotes all seem to be extremely high for me?

like £2000 for insurance on a 106 Gti??? Wtf?

stupidly high quotes for a Corsa Gsi...

I don't get it?

Oh well, if I keep my car - I'll hopefully kit it this year, then next year drop a nice engine in it - possibly a tuned 1.6

If you need further convincing about the performance of the 1.8 SRi then click on this link and scroll down to find the comparative 0-60 times between this car and the Volkswagen Golf range. Very interesting.

Also, I bagged a Viper for mine with complete stainless system. Very tasty increase.

I don't think that anyone has considered the fact that he is 18 because it is not their business. He has asked for some opinions and is getting them.

Now, I know you're thinking common sense and I do see you have a valid point but it is not yours to make. The same happens when a pubeless 18 year old asks about converting his 1.2 into a 3.0 litre beast on the 'Help page'. It ain't gonna happen but he gets humoured anyway.
