I've currently got some infinity 6x9's in a stealth shelf but i'm gonna get a sub and amp soon and was wondering if i should keep the 6x9's cos they sound good now and fill the back out well. But some people have said they will sound gash with a sub. Someone put me right please !!!!!!

i have 6 x 9 's and a 12inch sub, i also have comps up front which are amped. i changed the fade to 50% front so there is still sound coming from the 6 x 9's but not much for the benifit of rear passengers.

Sub and 6x9s shareing the same air space will kill the 6x9s soon. And them Shareing the same air space will bring the Sound stage down,

Just use good crossovers on the 6x9's and subs - then they wont bother one another
