Realised i'd left my interior light on...went out to check the car stil started cause i thought the battery might be flat.

Started but rattling like fuck and sounded as if the starter motor was stickin on.

Also makes a crackling/rattling noise when first started?!

AND theres a sortin whining/screeching noise from the engine at idle.

Bear in mind i have been thro LOTS of deep puddles today

and screeching? does this get louder as the revs raise?
then itll be the drive belt

Is this just cause of the rain?

Had to drive through some very big puddles on the way home, i mean like small rivers!

If the electrics are damp how wil i sort it....sounds the same 5 hours later!
