u take out one of the wing bolts and replace with one to fit onto the struts no drilling req

how do these work then? after poppin the bonnet would it easily lift up then itself and hold like the boot does? will these replace the boot ones also?

nah, ul need other ones for the boot. the boot lid is really heavy, ever tried lifting one without the lifters. Ppl who have will know what i mean.
