i've got between £200-£300 to spend on a headunit, stupid me just sold my whole pioneer system for £320 cos i needed the cash, and now ive got money again.
my last was the 7400mp
want something in silver but cant make my mind up, i want the pioneer 8400 but its too much, and i like the sony cdx-mp80, but i dont know if i should buy a sony?
any ideas?

I wouldnt buy Sony mate.
Alpine are always a good choice cos u get decent voltage preouts. For models around £300 i think u get 3 4v preouts which makes a good difference once you get amps in the boot

yeah, i might try picking up an 8400 on ebay, thats got 3 4v pre-outs. i thought it best to avoid sony, they seem to pack up quite often

take it you mean the cdxm800, its dark black with a sliding front. only 1 pre-out tho'

If you thinking of building a decent system ya better off buying a headunit with at least a couple of preouts really. Plus the higher voltage the preouts ya can get on a headunit the better.
