basically any media player i use eg windows media player, winamp, creative playcentre and kazaa cause the mp3s to skip like they were cd's with scratches. i dont think it is a regular gap between them and it even happens on video files too.

the pc isn't freezing either so as to what it is

your computer is working hard. mine does it at home. it;s an old 400 P2 with 386mb of ram and an 8 GB HDD

Could be a memory/resource issue, or corrupt sound card drivers in Windows...

Brother had this problem, ended up being a shit load of spyware, naimly GATOR & GAIN shite! Just runs hidden away, stealing loadsa resources & such

I'd suggest ya get some spyware remover, do a thorough scan & try again, if it sorts it job done, if not, check for new drivers

start the run command from the start menu.... type 'msconfig'.... go to the startup tab see if theres any sneaky programs running in there....

This did the same thing with my old P200 PC... If you have a virus prtection program running then is causes problems. The only way to get over the problem is to disable the virus scanner while listning to music, not ideal cos there are so many cunts out there...
