Are these prone to rust? I’m thinking of getting a standard 1 litre or something as a second car when I get my NCB in July. Looking at around a P reg I think. It will probably be sitting on the drive most of the time washed and polished a few times a week doing around 1,000 miles or so a year.

As I haven’t had much problems with the 106, I think I can afford to run two cars with small engines or a beast with a 2 litre or something.

Do they rust more than other cars?

My second choice is an M reg 1.4 Clio RT. They have all the extras and fly as they are so light.

Third choice is a totally standard 1.2 Corsa on a K reg. I know you will all say go for this one but i love Mini's and the Clio has a full lecky pack and nice seats as standard.

I might do it! Could get two, strip one and put the parts in the shed and keep the other one going. Would be great! Should get a good P Reg for around 2k and an A Reg for £200 or so.

Well i want it as a second car as it wouldn't be big enough for what i need it for. I'd prob turn a standard one into a Cooper over time; might even get a Cooper bu the last time i looked they wanted 7k to insure one
