Starting wage a couple of years ago was £3.84 - just enough to cover minimum wage.

You'll be on a trial period for about 10 weeks so you don't get staff discounts until after then.

Apply for a warehouse position if possible - its the easy life

£4.63 then up to £5.03 after 12 weeks on the checkouts.

Night shift is around £5 start then £6.50+ I think.

As long as you can do the minimum 16 hours a week you'll be fine.

I was on about £7 for nights at ASDA but they rob you ie the you only actually get night pay between 11-5, lose an hour of that for ya break etc. Its also very very boring and you have no life cuz you sleep all day!

Still, you don't spend anythin so its a good way of makin a bit of cash in the uni holidays.

Very true Daniel. Asda night shift finishes at 7. You'd be fecked after a week with 5hrs sleep a day.

Also, its harder than having 5hrs sleep at regular times.
