Gsi is insurance group 9 i think. poss higher

gsi is group 10, although loads of insurance companies wont insure grp 10 cars unless you are 21.

best off getting something smaller till you get a bit more experience. a sport (1.4) or a 1.2 16v would be a bit better/safer

tis group 11 for the pre ecotec, 10 for the ecotec, at 18 it was costing me £2200 through my mum, but was £1300 fc on my own when i was 19

i have a saxo vtr now though, im thinking about the 8v sri but im worried ill get one then just hate the performance. (im selling mine cos i need the money, in case you're wondering). so wondering if a gsi would be better, or at least a gsi engine in an sri

i dont understand how people can pay so much for insurance, i thought my £740 for a corsa was more than enoguh

What model??? I couldnt justify paying £740 for a 1.5Diesel when for bit more I can drive a car id want

yup, thats what im thinking. problem is i have to keep with my current company (norwich union) or i wont get my years no claims. rang up earlier and if i change to an sri it goes down by £20 a month, also tried for a clio 1.8 16v, wouldnt even quote me. the bastards

Tried doing online quote at cis site but wont let me get a quote, think it's best to phone up about anything higer than a 1.4

cis quoted me £900 fully comp on a gis when i was 17, on me dads like. couldnt afford it though

well thats on my 100 bhp diesel all mods listed, zero no claims as it was my first policy.

i've had a few pints so i can't be bothered to read the whole post but i'm 19, with no NCB paying around £1500 on a SRi. if you can get a GSi for the same price at 18 i will kick your ass
