Definitly get lessons, I was away for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was an absolutely amazing hliday and I will definitly be going back again but I went for one lesson on my fiirst day and it helped about 1000000%, in all honestly more lessons would have been better! It is difficult and be prepared to spend alot of time on ur ass but stick with it for a few days and you will begin to progress a lot quicker and then you willg ain confidence and speed and it gets to become sooo much fun.

The hardest part I found was getting used to leaning downhill. Your natural reaction is to lean back but if you do that you cant turn and end up on your arse rapid.
You need to put most of your weight on the front foot and contol turning etc with the back one. After that its all about getting used to using the edges properly, I guarantee you will catch an edge more than once which is the quickest way I have ever found of falling over!
