right i never understand wiring up speakers, so ill give it my best shot. im currently got front speakers and shitty 6x9 (4 speakers), im thinkin of gettin some comps, is it posible to split the power, to go to 6 speakers or should i just ditch the 6x9?

Components are always best amplified.
And im guessing 4x52w is Sony, so i dont think its viable.

Ditch the front speakers and replace with components.

No if you add them onto the lines of existing speakers i.e run four channels off 2 channels then unless you wire them in series you'll lower the impedence and blow the h.unit. Although saying that 4years ago when I did my first ever system and didnt have a clue I ran EIGHT channels off of four on the h.unit, in theory running it in 2ohms!! It ran RED hot and was super loud but it was daft...

my first system was 4 standard speakers....4 6x9's and 2 8" soeakers boxed in the boot all off a mighty 4x35w HU
