MY HDD FAILED ON ME and ive bought a 120gb one from maplins

i THINK i have it in right, with the little pin things on the right one, but xp wont load off disk (copy lol)

the old 1 was set to master with slave, but this new1 does not have the same settings, ive set it to master, but the pin thing is in a different place, its a different make too

searches for boot disk in floppy, do i just make 1 off this PC??

help!

provided u've installed the disk right

go into the bios of yer computer at startup set it to boot from cd-rom

bang in disk reboot follow instructions

And, if your copy of XP turns out not to be a bootable disk, you can always download the XP bootdisks from here:

it wont access bios or boot lol, d/l floppys now
