that was before JR they struck a proper deal afterwards
on the topic of cosworth, why dont they have a rally team nomore?
cosworth never had a team did they, they just preped engines before ford bought them out
what i mean is why didnt they stay as they was?
owners proberly thought fuck this and took however much money ford offerd them, as they hard work had allready been done, making a name for them selves and offering a good service,
as cosworth were independant vaux could have come along and said "we want a carlton cosworth" and cosworth could have done it, as ford bought them out they could only work on ther cars and use there knowledge to improved fords only

those pics are what ford released to the press, so they aint been photoshopped. Personally, im not convinced on the performance. Sure, its gonna be something special around the corners, but i dont think that engine is worth it in this car. It must weigh in at around the 1000kg mark, just like the corsa, BUT this engine is pap. Its a de-tuned version of the Focus ST170 engine, which was nothing special either, since i kept up with my dad's until we hit 100mph and the 6th gear helped it edge away. A detuned version of this engine is gonna be worse IMO. Anyhow, its not going to be designated ST150, just ST because they might well release a sporty diesel engine, which sounds like a much better idea
