Fancie helping me Need an expert recommendation for my assignment.

I am currently researching a type of rubber that I can use for a sealing washer for Keel Bolts. This research is a part of my IVA assignment for my BTEC qualification. The assignment states that I should have three sources of information, one being an expert recommendation.
As you are an expert in this field I was wondering what type of rubber would you chose in this case?.
Also from the drawing entitled sealing washer for Keel Bolts states that the washer is required to be made from a "good quality rubber" It also quotes an obsolete reference to a specific material "DTD 625"

Thanks for your time and help.
