That Stacy's mum thread and trying to by my Mam to a card a the weekend have lead me to believe that only people in the NE call their mother Mam and not Mum.

Every fucking card had 'to my Mum' on it which make you sound like a Homo up here my Mam would probably start pissing her self laughing and think I'm gay if I started calling her Mum

So what do you call yours?

mam and it's ssoooo hard to find her a card! Rob always has ago at me coz I refuse to buy her a card with mum on it! Same goes for my nanna, it's not gradma!

it's only mum if I want something! which isn't often! I even hunt for a "Mam and her boyfriend" at xmas coz I refuse to "to the both of you" and like to point out that he's her boyfriend and nothing really yo do with me!
