I've just bought a Dimma fuel cap and after reading instructions, you need to sand down the lip that you open it with. Only problem is that on the new cap, the bit which I thought lifted and let you open the cap is stuck on and doesn't move.

Does anyone else have one and if so is it simple to open the fuel cap after its fitted?

Cheers

does it just stick on top of you existing fuel cap? if so i had 1 on my old SRi, fuel cap was awkward to open but possible because the dimma bit stuck out from the body work (not flush) so u cud get a grip on it n pull the cap open

I have a dimma cap on mine, but one of the old V1 jobbies (no middle bit, just an alloy plate)

hat to cut off the old lifty-bitty too & then drill holes on the flap & bolt the cap to it...

pros: only i could open the fuel filler flap, as I was the onlyone who knew how to do it

cons: the effect wears off after 5 mins of fitting, then ya just get fed up with it. Is a cunt top open when ya hands are cold.

Could you use a solenoid on a button inside the car to pop it open?
