Heads off the car, checked the head gasket and it looks fine
what else would cause would cause blue and white smoke to come out the exhaust and water vapor to come out the breather on the rocker?

hope not, got a spare head in the garage with no valves, really don't want to transfer all the valves from this head to the other

it;s oil vapour that comes out the breather. is the breather system blocked?

ahh my m8 had this in his escort, was summit to do with his oil from what i remeber :/ think it was water or summit in his oil but aint 100% :/

Compression testers fit in the spark plug location iirc.
Have you checked piston rings?

I'm not sure tbh, do they mount the same as spark plugs? I'm not too clued up on diesels.

might be possible, need a special adapter + the glow plugs have their own pre-combustion chamber

dad says could be cracked head or blocked/fucked injector etc..
he did engine remanufacturing for over 25 years.
