What would the outcome of a match up be ? theres an @rse hole near me who always used to go flat out past me when i had my GSI, now I have my valver fitted surely it must be more even what do you guys in the know say ? thanks for nay help

then id put my money on the valver, erst might get a way a bit quicker but think the corsa will take it!! im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.....

Cheers buddy its only just being finnished now so I will not be flooring it for a while anyway, but once its all settled in I will be adding more mods to increase the power

see a astra gsi on the way to work most mornings but coming the other way, sometimes see him on the weekends and he cut my up pretty bad.
wouldnt mind a valver to show him a lesson or two!!
back to topic however...

by the look of that vid it looks as though born_upsideout is correct it looks like the rst gets away better but then the corsa comes back at it but I supose it depends on the driver, on a long stretch of road I think maybe the valver would beat it but not sure on 1/4 mile times

an rst in standard form isnt that quick, my mates got one and he cant pass me but its so easy to get 200bhp and there are hardly any standard 1s floating about so that 1 round your way is more than likely modified under the bonnet . the lad i know with the rst knows some1 with a mk3 astra gsi which beats him by a fair bit every time . i would have thought that an rst would need 170bhp to maybe beat a 2.0 16v corsa

why do u say it would need 170bhp when the redtops are 150bhp standard

RST's arnt that quick, me and my mate met a few lads with RST's, series 1 and 2, they showed us the spec of there engines, one pulled up beside me at a set of traffic lights, it beat me but not by much up to 50mph, it takes that long for the turbo to spin up! Needless to say the bloke in the 220 bhp series 1 RST ( claimed) and me and my mate had a bit of a suprise, consider my Corsa is a 8v SRI, with 90bhp Rolling Roaded, before you lot start! He should of pissed on me!

Yeah, I'll go with a RST needs a GENUINE 170bhp to seriously compete with a C20XE corsa.
I've never really raced one, but would love to find some to annoy. I reckon I could give 200bhp+ ones a very good go.
