Can I just put the EGR hose pumping exhaust gases to the atmosaphere and not to the inlet manifold?

Any problem if I do that?

I fthe MOT'er spotted id id guess he,d fail it

Best thing to do is replace the egr valve gasket with a thin sheet of stainless steel blocking it so exhaust gases only go out the exhaust

already done mine, rip all the erg crap out, including the black turbine and yes block up the hole with some stainless, once its all off there is just one small pipe near header tank that needs a small screw to block it up

same here, looks alot emptier in my engine bay now! removed the secondard air pump aswell, this is not connected to the exhaust gasses, just the manifold for heat i believe
