Im sorry to admit i used to have them when they were first introduced. i had white ones and got stopped for them. Asked the officer if he could explain to me why they are illegal, the best he gould do was they dazzle other drivers. and i was like WTF.

everyone saying it doesnt actually say they are illegal, then whats this

"cops have been forced into a U-turn and now admit that the snazzy glow-in-the-dark gizmos are perfectly legal."

They are perfectly legal, there is no law to say you cannot show a coloured light to the front of your car unless it is red.

There has been some stuff about the blue LED lights truck drivers have in their cabs in the transport mags, loads of drivers have been fined or told to remove them. A driver challenged the fine and had the fine overturned and the police admitted they were not breaking any law unless the light is flashing.

If you are told to remove them then point the police in the direction of the road traffic lighting regulations.

Rather than try to prosecute drivers with LED washer jets, Police should pull them over, waste a bit of their time and then laugh at the driver telling them how wank they look.

Nine times out of ten the driver will also have his fog lights on, so that's an easy producer.
