think its a problem with the master cylinder

drew - pad was missing off the rear caliper, none of the brakes working now

aa bloke reckons its either air in the system (cos when u pump the brakes u get a little bit of pressure back) or just a fucked master cylinder

if you can pump it and you get something then it could be master cylinder. it would have been working not long after if it had just got hot. is it rear discs?

not bein funny mate
maybee im just too sensible.
but when a brake pad falls off - or whatever brake problem you encountered the other day.
i would have not drove the car untill the brakes were checked, fixed, and made sure they were ok.

but thats just me.

why does this make any diffence???? muppet

sound to me like the caliper with the pad missing has moved too much (possibly the piston has popped out) doubt its the master cylinder, reckon either air in the system or you've lost all ya fluid, still scary sh*t tho

aye im hoping its air in the system that'll be nice n cheap to fix

think the caliper's probably fucked the disc up tho, still shudnt cost much to put right

when u say nursing the speed down did u just take ya foot off the acclerator or did u need to slow down quick? would u have have to brake using the lower gear's?

just been thinking if u was behind someone and they had to slam on that could have beeen dangerous
