Daveyboy - I doubt that is the case. The fact that there is less travel in the damper, the fact that moving weight around the car with that small amount of travel makes the handling snappy and unpredictable and the fact that the wheels spend a lot of time in the air when the suspension is so hard have more to do with handling than under-car aerodynamics.

The only time a racing car should be raised is if weight distribution is so poor that grip on all four wheels needs to be neutralised through loading up weight on to one or more wheels. If balance is good and road surface smooth then the next thing to look for is a low centre of gravity.

I personally would raise that car though. It'd fix (or at least lessen) the camber problem and would certainly reduce the amount of understeer that the car will certainly be seeing.

I have all the answers!! I own Spax RSX kit and have had many discussions with Tony at Spax Technical dept!

Reason for bouncing is because with them set that low your springs are doing NAFF all, its sat on the bumpstops which are HARD polyurethene and the dampers canot 'dampen' the very quick rebound energys that polyurethene gives!!
Its only designed to be wound that low when you remove the bumpstops and want a 120mm drop FOR SHOW USE ONLY. It will be lowered 85mm at the minute upfront as thats how low it is when sat on the bumpstops.

The lowest you really want is 70mm which should stop 90% of bouncing, this leaves the damper approx 10-15mm off the bumpstop which means that you actually have 'some' suspension. I believe my bottom spring platforms are approx 60mm from the lowest threaded point on the damper body.

Get out the C- spanners and have a play.
