yeah i would too, but you can pick up an alpine R type for £100 where as the JLs are £180, just wondering how well the alpine compares considering the price difference

Can get W3s for £150
Rated at 300watts RMS but can take alot more, if you are after a good amp to run them then the JL 500/1 amp is perfect for them

Go with JL W3v2 advise mate.
Ive got 2 runnin off a Rockford bd 500.1 Mono block and they bang. As already said their rated at 300rms but will take a fair bit more.
Had a single Type R before and there really is no comparison!
W3's might b more but ya get what ya pay for!!!!!
