worked head
Throttle bodies
forged pocketed pistons
280 cams or so
associated solid lifters, uprated springs and platforms etc
PMC exhaust manifold - old one was ace top end
Lightend/Balanced crank
uprated conrods
arp rod bolts
dry sump
all mapped up with a 9k or so rev limit..... oh yes....

my old 1.4 16v had these SBD metal idlers...
Big Col has them now on his c16xe :S

i have a vid of it at home somewhere... yes, its nice
my old one was quite nice too....slightly diff from the normal induction roar of an ecotec
mine sounded like a fuckin rally slag on idle tho
1020rpm idle.... spluttering away.... babbrbrbbbababbebebbabbaba
and was shit below 3k rpm

all you really have to do is increase your rev limiter to about 7000rpm... but go for 7500rpm....
If your going non TB route... do this..
Mantzel inlet
Shrick 256/264 (with 264 you would need new pocketed pistons)
SBD or PMC Exhaust manifold
flowed head.... inlets matched
Unichip or MBE ecu etc
ARP conrod bolts
All that on a 1.4 and a hoky coky rev limit of 7.5 to 8.5k will see you around 130/140bhp (ala JR/MattC old spec)
i managed a 8.3 but that was with all the interior in it (leather and alcantara everything) is bloody heavy that car.
i reckon with all the shite of lost form the car it will knock o.4 secs of that time at a guess

mr hamilton suggested 274 cams to me at the nationa; meet, i feel i may have to purches them
need the tb's and the lightend bottom end as well really

tb's is in stage 3 of the evolution,
currently im in stage 2.5, im rebuilding it for performance vauxhall, and taking even more bits out
