i think my mate is pullin my leg..

98, peugeot 306 1.9 Diesel, he says its a turbo but when i drive it i couldnt hear anything like a turbo. it didnt feel like there was a turbo either,

he says its an lx model but it doesnt have turbo underneath the 306 badge at the back.

is he right?? is it a turbo?

but surly if you have your head stuck in the engine bay whilst he was revving it u should be able to hear it ??

dont think an LS will be turbo

ask to look at the V5 form - should say

You have to get under the car to see th eturbo, although you can definatly see the intercooler as soon as you open the bonnet. There was a D Turbo LX model made for sure. Pretty crappy spec on it though.

well i think its a turbo then coz the intercooler sits directly on the top of the engine.

what are the specs like for this then??

I have one. It's defo the turbo version you are talking about as the IC does sit on top of the engine. 92 bhp, 0-60 around 12 secs top speed around 110 and 144lbs/ft torque. Not amazing standard but with some tweaks to thje fuel pump and increasing the boost they are fun, especially mid range.

RussSxi what are you talking about 6mph? Turbo starts to kick in about 2200 rpm.
