I am currently doing discounts on Self adhesive number plates. These plates usually retail for around £10+ each.
The plates are made from fully road legal reflective white or yellow vinyl, these plates would be for show use only though
You don't have to have a registration number on the plates, I can do nicknames, corsasport usernames etc...just ask

Go3easy - not sure if that would be 'technically' legal. I reckon you would get pulled over though, if it looked a lot like a number plate, ie same size and on reflective material. If it was quite small and just on plain yellow vinyl with black text i reckon you could get away with it as a sticker.
jon1 - I can do any size you want! the prices apply to standard sizes though (520mm x 110mm). If you let me know the size and style i could sort you out a good price though

my dad has these kinda of plates on his old cars, one on a e-type and 1 on a mgb. have to remember that the plate has to be 90degrees to the floor

why are they curved like that ?

The material they are cut out of is a very thin plastic sheet, that is supplied to us on rolls, therefore when you cut a bit of it off the roll it is curved. This is mainly due to the backing paper as it is quite thick, it does not affect the plate in anyway at all as it peels off the backing paper.
