Which are the best for around this price???

There are many choices but i am hoping to get a set that can deliver a reasonable amount of mid bass...

Focals ALWAYS get excellent ratings in the ICE mags. couldnt say about the JL though. Im wondering whether to go for some Alpines or those Focals.

dont go for alpines, i have asked in numerous ICE places and they ALL rate the focals well above alpine, even the best alpine ones, i.e.

Focals everytime, with no hesitation

However if you can stretch the lil extra and get Corbs then do it, they're superrrrrb speakers!

They're the K2P, mine are the K2. Same range, but theyre the 2004 model, mine are the 2003.
