i rang GAP up last week about a Alarm asking about the pay weeky thing,
so part of this was to do a credit check, to see weather i was allowed credit on the alarm, they ask me loasd of details one being my Switch card details.
they rang me back saying they couldent give me credit (as i have no credit rating at all; as never had credit) i said ok fine i will have to leave it then.
they ring me back day later to say they can now do me credit and have sent all the paperwork out for me to read and sign
By this time (as i was thinking i couldent get credit on one) my sister had said she would pay outright for the alarm from SQ Plus (which is just down the road)
i go to my bank to find GAP have taken a deposit of £150 out of my Bank with out me knowing or without any permistion/signature from me.
rings them up to say look what going on, i dont want the alarm.
they tell me its a non refundablue deposit even thow i never told them to take any money at all
trading standard say they will get rape over it and i will get my money back plus some more
so thats a good thing, just make you think the cheeky twats, i know what i will get this blokes credit card number and go a take some money off it, sounds like fraud to me
STAY AWAY FROM GAP THERE WANKERS
anyway get my Clifford Concept 600 with all the extras on the 14th

No, the best way to speak to trading standards is to post your problem on an Internet message forum.
It's unlikely you'll ever get a resolution from it, but it'll waste your time which can only be a good thing.
My dad took a month-old receipt back to Tesco to query one of the items and whether we paid too much or not. Turns out Tesco hadn't over charged us after all.
Shit story, but let that be a lesson to Tesco!!

My dad took a 9-year-old £20 voucher to Game the other week, to see if it was still valid as it had no expiry date on it......the shop-manager said "No", so my dad contacted Game HQ who advised the shop manager it was valid......bonus!
Oh, and someone contacting Trading Standards about a Powerflow exhaust? Been there, done that, they'll tell you to go to Small Claims Court because Powerflow won't budge an inch (assuming it's because your exhaust has rusted, which mine did).
