Just had a front end respray to tidy up a few scratches / stone chips at my mates (he's really good and cheap too )

While my car was there, I asked him to paint a set of rear door handles, which he did, but he ran out of paint, and only gave them 2 coats

The handles look mint, and the colour match is 100%

Are they ok to fit as they are or is the paint a little thin? Should I take them back and ask him to put a few more coats on them?

id give them another few layer as they can scratch easily due to them being touched all the time, what colour is that by the way

if its convered it then i wouldnt bother,esp if theve been lacquered

the handles are glacier white, digi cam might be on it's way out sorry

dont think they have been lacquered, you arn't supposed to lacquer glacier white are you?

you dont laquer 2 pac glacier white paint.

2 coats of colour is fine. its all mine have had and they are perfect.

your wrong aswell im afraid. it depends what type of paint is used to whever you laquer it or not!!!

i didnt laquer my glacier white
i polished them twith t cut restorer then lots and lots of polish and wax

if you use rattle cans from halfrods then you need to laquer all colours as they use crap cellulose paint in them.

you dont need to laquer 2 pac cos its in with it, am i rite kris, do i get 2 points?

lol
when i first got my car it had some accident damage, sprayed the door with cellulose and didnt laquer it, you look at it now compared to the bumpers and bootlid i have sprayed with 2 pac and it looks so dull and out of place, gotta redo it with decent paiont this time.

Im cutting out all the hard work and getting a set of 4 handles from a vectra that is the same colour as my corsa, very popular colour for vectras (apparently) its just a case of holding out till my vectra shaped ship comes in

You don't need to lacqyuer yuor colour, tbh they look ok, i'd just fit them

you could laquer it tho, wudnt cause any problems.
You would HAVE to laquer glacier white etc... if you wnted a pearl of metal flake ....
