Need a bit of help wiv my latest shop

I've got white/gray side skirt to go on to a Red car. whats the best way to get the colour to match. I

know its possible coz the front bumper came from a white skyline...but it was our graphics designer who did it for me.

i've messed about wiv the layer properties using the colour overlay efect but dosent even get close.

Any ideas?

Is Jasc Paintshop Pro a very good program, I have done a few shops in it, but only one has actually come out respectably. If I aquired Adobe Photshop, could I do better 'shops?

Both would be more than enough to come up with a decent 'shop. At the end of the day it's all down to which of the two you're more comfortable using - PSP is quicker IMO for the menial tasks but for big projects where you're working with a lot of layers and image paths you'd best stick to PS.

Is there any websites that have got tutorials for the programs, Jasc PSP came as a trial from Dell on my PC, I paid £40 to keep it, but I don't have any instructions for it d'oh...
I can do website graphics pretty well it it, just the whole layers thing is confusing, cos the only other program that I use that has layers is Flash MX, which is totally different...
