To be 100% covered you can do NUTTIN wihtout telling them. If you have a claim and they send out an assessors, they can not pay you a penny for having ANYTHING not standard without telling them. C**nts.

Alot of it can depend what insurance company you're with but as a rough guide, anything that effects the performance or looks of the car will normaly put you're insurance up. And whatever you do don't NOT tell them cos if you need to make a claim or you hit someone your policy won't be worth the paper its printed on.

side skirts do matter, if you put any part of a body kit on, including just a spoiler you can be charged for a full body kit.

back lights they are funny about, and esp brake upgrades engine mods.

think you could get away with de-badging

u can get away with, fuel cap cover, and alloy valve caps, thats about it

What about things like retrimming/spraying bits of your interior and things like new gearknobs etc?

retrimming interior and interior bits such as gear knobs apparently increase the risk of people breaking in and nicking them. dunno about spraying interior. Best off ring up, if they tell you they didnt need to know, dont matter does it
