ive read the tutorial on how to get the standard cd player out, but how do u fit a non standard one in?
and where do u get the silver plastic bit from that will fit underneath to fill in the gap ? also how much is it ?
does anyone have pics of theirs so i know how it will roughly look ?

You can get the Adapter from halfords and paint it, or go to Vauxhall and get a exact colour-match one.
Halfords = £12
Vauxhall = £20
Here mine:

It looks the business but its a Sony and I used to have one and its not very good compared to Pioneer and Alpine.
Mine is a Pioneer 8400mp and cost me £370 a year ago.

lol it's sony yeah, but it's reallly good... SOny stuff really good these days jus cloud around them from few years back when they were shat... emm was bout 370 squid or something from letsbuycaraudio... Far petter than clarion ones or alpine one have had before...
