ive currently got a 1.6 16v Gsi with 2 litre brake conversion and a cat back grp A zorst, ABS braking, power steering, and soon to have coilover suspension....
can i keep all this for the 2litre conversion setup??
wat else could i keep from the car? radiator, manifold, ecu etc??

can keep the radiator and header tank...
ecu and manifold will need changing, even if the manifold fitted imo it wud still be restrictive, cant imagine it wud fit tho.
not to clued up on the p/s or abs tbh

Didnt wanna go donw the re-built route then monkey!!! haha, ya very nearly convinced me to do the C20XE during my re-build, NEARLY, but i got bigger plans hatching now !!!!!

u really got me thinking of wat to do...not sure if i shud rebuild or stick in 2litre, coz as u said in other post if i get a 2litre its gonna hav lot of millege on it too and who knows wat problems can arise, so it may fcuk up too!
i guess il just wait and see how long my current engine lasts for now init.
so what you thinking of doing to your engine now mate???

i wouldnt throw your gsi engine in the bin if ure gunna build a 2.0l buy a merit or smething!

i would have done the same mark, so it makes the 2litre conversion twice the price of a re-build on a 1.6
