i thought it was created becuase steve was posting too much bollox in general chat. so this was for everything else. when it 1st came up, hardly any moderations were done, now every other fucking thread is deleted.

u should let people post what they want in off day, and leave to its own devices. and mod. GC.

don't think asking where to get a song from is classed as spamming really is it?

the amount of spam yesterday was getting a bit annoying, and as it has already been said, has caused problems for ian/tim and bandwidth issues. Still I do see what you mean though, if stuff doesnt go against legal crap etc then it should be allowed  (Dunno if that makes sense, ive had a couple of Jim Beams and coke! )

Can I firstly say it would be very difficult to anticipate and predict every single thread that's ever going to be posted.
Off Day was created to contain the less serious side of the site. It works fairly well but its still bound by rules, regs and legalities. And of course I don't want it to be a fat waste of resources and the like, hence my recent action on spammers.
In amongst those legal rules and regs is copyright law - we don't provide information of where to download music which is copyright. We don't even check if you are legally allowed to download particular tunes or films as to be clear we just remove any mention of it. Anything else is potentially confusing and for the sake of an easy life and happy visitors everyone should know - take it to MSN, IRC, u2u, whatever, but not public threads.
For the sake of clarity if nothing else, the same moderation guidelines are in place throughout the entire site, a copy of which is present in the staff forum and which all staff a meant to adhere to. Its a fairly lengthy document but it basically simply says be consistent and make people aware of your actions - which on this occasion I feel that we're doing.

Yesterday i noticed an extreme amount of spamming. Some what looked like a competition with a fellow member to post the most spam. Please look into this as its slowing down CS.

this sort of activity has been noted unfortunatly we can't be here all the time unless we get some more premium members join then we can buy the robot to rule the world and watch cs 24hrs a day
