i have this amount maybe abit more
i need a decent sub and amp for a sound system
wil wire it all up myself so other parts arent a worry
any ideas please

U didnt mention if u wanted a 10inch, 12inch or 15inch sub but went with the most likely and recommended a 12".
The sub i saw was at www.caraudiodirect.co.uk for £99.99 and was the RES-RE12V2ms. Its gots dual 4 ohm voicecoils so can give a 2ohm load to the amp and it has 175rms power handling.
Doesnt sound that impressive but these RE subs r great.
As for an amp i found the Alpine MRP M200 which produces 200rms @ 2ohms avaliable at www.carudiocentre.co.uk for £104.99.
It may b cheaper else where but thats where i saw it and their normally pretty good for price.
Think those 2 together wud b fairly well matched and make a good entry level system.
If u can stretch to more cash of course there r loads of other options out there.

im not concerned with sizes
i just have a money limit with house, holiday and brand new car
have seen a nice 1000w ported box for £125 but dont say rms etc
so want a powerful amp to get the most out of it
prolly wud like 2 12s

good combo that, but the alpine amp may be a bit weak.
Better value for money amp wise is the
Alpine MRP-M350

dont get some cheapo ported box shite....
This RE sub is proper quality gear, something decent not some SPLX shite box!!!
