id like some info on the 2.0 type r engine, whatever you have really,

mainly interested in strengths and weaknesses etc.

where can you buy just the engine?

its for a mk2 escort rally car

aparentley a V-Tec has necer failed. Not very torquey due to being high revving engines. Jap build quality.

Strengths...

Very tunable... the yanks are getting some very nice hp figures from N/A tuning.
Reliable.


Weaknesses...

iVTEC system increases reciprocating mass... you cay wish to remove the iVTEC mechanism if you are going for a race setup.
Availabity of tuning parts in the UK... need to import.
Cost.
