my mate got his 6230 yesterday, it is cool as fck. but my sisters 6600 canes it hands down, you can put movies from your pc onto it who needs in car dvd now

but the screen isnt as good as the 6600 so for watching movies it doesnt compare.
also, the amount of software available for symbain phones is insane and so the 6600 wins hands down there too. 6600 has programs to make it do practically everything apart from wipe your ass after youve had a shit
but at the end of the day, its up to you what you actually want a fone to do. if its just for calls/texts then i can see why the smaller 6230 would be attractive. but i also had the same dilemma when i got my 6600 last december but im really glad i chose it now as its got me into the symbian o/s in a big way. dont think i will ever go back to a normal o/s cos they are so boring and a lot less functional

But like you said i only ring and txt and use the calculator occationally - so the 6230 is prob best for me

ye u can watch movies on the 6230, but the screen is TINY in comparison, when i upgrade in um.. 15 days ill get the 6600 mate

My dad had a read of this thread and the other ones floating about - said right im getting one....
He went on the o2 site and ordered the 6600 - simply because of the extra software etc... you can get.
Im still getting the 6230 i 'think' i only text and talk thats about it.

whats symbian OS? im not up to date on all these new phones....im gonnaa up grade next month..so u think any better phones will be out? i quote like the look of the 6600 cos i have the 7250 now and looks like the 6320 which is boring :S

@ Chewy well im getting either the 6600 or 6230 then again IF and i meen IF i was gonna get a flip it would be the Motorola v600.....
But at the mo its a nokia.
Never had probs with nokia.... but these sonyericcsons ive had have been sh*te
