Let me begin.
bought some new bulbs for behind my dash.
took all the dash off,
and the bulbs out.
went to put the news ones in and they didnt fit!
so i thought, rite i will get some bulb paint and paint the other ones. painted them put them back in and they still looked shit!
couldn't be bothered with it, so i put the dash back on and all the dash lights were on!
went to start it, the fcuker wouldn't start.
FOOOKIN gr8 i thought!
so i called the AA up and the bloke didnt have a clue.
so its getting picked up in the morning to get taken to a garage
fcuking bollocks, as you can tell im well pissed off.

Check make sure the light switch is connected in proper... If it has a dodgy connection or not plugged in, the car won't start, wont even tick over. It's a safety thing vaux did with it so if the light switch is fooked it wont drive!

Might have pulled the hazard warning switch out, this is the one that will let you have the ignition on without keys in if you put it in upside down.

at a guess i think you've probably battered your ignition somehwere. or maybe you've connected something up wrong and blown a fuse somewhere. maybe you've earthed something without knowing?
