my head gasket is shagged on my 1.0 12v, phoned vauxhall to get a quote to replace it and got told i would be lucky to get change out of £500

cant belive it costs so much to change a gasket

do you reckon i should get it sorted or use the £500 to get a bigger engine

You're well on the way getting a C20XE there mate... Or you could just fit the gasket yourself...

very temted to get a c20xe but i got 11 points on my licence, was thinking more of a 1.4 or 1.6 16v

dont really want to change the gasket myself as i would have to mess about with the timing chain and tensioners
