I've got a Sony Clie PDA at the moment (well it's now on eBay for sale) but used it for editing Word/Excel etc which was nice. Mine only had IR too you can connect to the net using your mobile phone via IR but you just need the right web browser software on it. I never found a good one, but I didnt look very hard - there should be some good ones available for Palm OS.

All the software that comes with it is good. It lets you sync all your MS Outlook Calender/To-Do List. And the software to edit/sync Words Docs etc came with on mine too so will probs be on yours! Only things I really put on it was a Remote Control software thingy so you can control you TV/DVD etc from you PDA and also had a couple of games but these have been removed from mine as I formatted it before I put it on eBay.

Yes mine was good, used it most days. Had a spreadsheet with my money I was spending on car parking every day on it which I updated daily which was cool. Great little things - they play MP3's too I just dont seem to be using mine much recently so though I am better getting a bit of cash for it rather than it collecting dust.

I agree, I'd get one with bluetooth for sure as it's a pain in the ass holding a phone next to it if you want to go online over infra red...
