I've just re-wired my rear speakers (8inch co-aix Pioneers) with my amp(Kenwood 800W 5-ch), so that they're now running bridged...
Whacked them up & I can now smell burning (like scelextric).. are they toast, or do I stand a chance of them surviving?... They don't sound any different, just stunk a little!

I aint no boffin with car electronics but i do know the smell of scalectrix is a mixture of rubber and magnets getting hot. I'd have that checked out mate.

u probably overpowered them, put them back on single channels and see how they run.
Also if they are not 4 ohm, say 2 ohm and u bridged them that cud of damaged the amp...
