?? can't go via when tax is exempt as that is set at 1974/5 ish and earlier. used to be set at 25 years old but people caught on and were buying old cars... classic insurance must work on a an age though. 25 years sounds about right.. hope so as civic is 27 years old.

im 21 and my weekend ride is a 1974/5 (been unable to determine when it was built registered) volkswagon beetle.

Its classesd as a classic car and im fully comp on classic insurance. however on this policy im unable to gain no-claims bonus because of how classic insurance works.

Hope this helps

Its over 10 Years old and only applies to certain models. I.e. anova wouldn't be a classic car as there are so many of them about, but a 10 year old RX7 can be counted as a classic car

is that bit in the other thread true about needing to be 25 to have classic insurance

was toying with the idea of a 944 or sumthing like that as no way i cud get insured on one normally
