Hi - thinking of spraying my clear side repeaters white to match my car. Do I just do really thin coats of primer, colour and lacquer? Or is a different technique needed, i do want the light to shine through a bit as well though!

i have done it before, you need to use the clear plastic primer, then very thin layer of paint.
i did it on my rear lights, and you couldnt see anything from them in daylight, and at night wasnt much better.
i took it off after a couple of weeks after i had loads of people telling me my brake lights werent working.

I did my repeaters Atlantic Blue to match my car...

Ok, the lights a bit crap, but at night its fine. I just used a high grade wet and dry (1200 I think), give em a good wash, straight on with one good coat of the blue, and then used clear laquer (twice I think).

To be honest I like em a lot, but I can't post any pics coz I'm regular scum not premium, until work sort out the bloody payrise...

can't be arsed buying new primer. Mite just try really thin layer of white primer and white paint. What could the pigs do for dodgy indicators?

dont use normal primer
1. you wont get a good covering enough for the paint too stick
2. it will block out more light than the paint.

use a scotch pad instead of sandpaper, much more effective
