I want some ptisssh from my audi a4 1.8t and i have looked at forge dump valves. they only seem to have ones called "closed loop" and it suggests to me that it doesnt actually give much of a ptisssh.
Is this true? if so can any one suggest one suitable for what i want.

closed loop - i take it that means a recirculating dump valve
these are better performance wise and dont make a whole lot of noise
what u sound u want is something like a baliey dump valve or something similer

Forge do the old style diaphram(spelling) dump vlves aswell and they are well loud!
Got one on me Smart and sound's ace!
Did have a Bailey one but sounded like it was sneezing cos the engine is so bloody small.

thats the link to the available dump vavles for the A4. they do list diaphragm ones but still say they are closed loop. i think that bailey one is winning. although carnoisseur do list some as well but didn't like trying to work out their system.

talk to corsacsxi he has one on his A3 1.8 T, he was told he couldnt have a vrrrooom tssshh noise and in the end he fitted an 'atmospheric dump valve' i think he said? and trust me its loud

yeah i know. atmospheric are ones that are listed as "vents to atmosphere"
