Right, i'm nearly through my front 2 tyres on my 17"s. I know its a FWD Diesel, but they've worn from brand new, to around 2mm in like 6 months

They were Falken ZE1s. Good in the dry. Poo in the wet. And a bit too soft for my liking.

What would u lot suggest for a half decent tyre that dont wear too quickly :s I do 85% of my driving on the motorway, so mega sticky isnt really required!

cheers

Matt

I'd go for Avons, have ZV3s and ZV1s, they're decent in pretty much any weather. Considering I've about 2 degrees negative camber on front wheels, they don't wear out very quickly either.

Last front pair did around 50k IIRC, that was mostly motorway miles...

Yeah, I had a set of Nankangs lasted 12k

Either Avons or BF Goodriches, similar tyres, similar prices, good all rounders...

My A539s used to be replaced every 3 months on the front of the RST, load of crap. Sticky in the dry, scary in the wet and fall apart.
If you want good motorway tyres get Michelin Pilot Primacy.

I used to run A529s too... thought they were ok in dry, and as dayzee says -- "scary in the wet"...

I have Falken Ziex ZE512's now as I got a bit of a deal on them, and I really rate them! Know quite a few other people who do too...

50k out of a set is crazy! my dads 60 and only gets 22k out of his michelins

I normally get 8k out of mine, got a fair whack of camber hence 4k out of the falkens..
