if they are anything like the corsa b it probably clips in round the bottom

Well, it's more like underneath. Undo the three top bolt on your bumper and you might get to it, if not, undo the two (one either side) at the wheel arch and drop the bumper off. It's simple enough to do. You can then get to the third bolt on the lamp.
